Making of the Post Card “Malaysia-Truly Asia” - Multi-cultural theme

Step one:
Selecting a Background Image and editing it to be into the required size.


Tools Used:Clone stamp tool: Duplicating the background sky and the building onto the right. Polygon lasso tool was used for selection.
Step two:
Importing source images,




Tools Used:Magic wand was used where there is singular color in the source images. Later as the layer is imported, blending options were used, outer glow, color overlay.
Where there is a specific selection in the source image, Polygon lasso tool was used the most.

Step Three:
adding the light effect, adding light on one of the source images(people (right-bottom) in the composition


Tools Used:

Dodge, Burn tools were the most used to tools using Highlights and with exposure 50.
The light effect
A new layer was added using the layer window.
Paint-bucket was used to drop slightly grayish white. The source(bottom) was highlighted a little, using dodge tool.
The opacity was reduced to 40% in the layer window.

Finalization:


The Layer with the people in it was copied (Alt+Lmouse) color overlay to black and later the opacity was reduced to 50%. A copy of that layer was made and motion blur was added in the direction of light. [ filter>blur>motion blur…]
The sizes of the text and Images had their final alteration to fit into the composition.
